They set out to build everything from starter homes and retirement properties, to semi-custom builds and custom designed homes. Lone Star Custom Homes, LLC was founded with the pursuit to build quality homes, create innovative designs, and provide outstanding service.
Our team has built over 300 homes in Houston and the surrounding areas over the last 10 years. Our focus at Lone Star Custom Homes is to specialize our systems and personnel in order to tailor to the needs of our customers. This enables our company to look past the transaction and build a relationship with the families, for which these homes will be built.
Matthew Surface
President
Matthew Surface is a Houston native and long-time resident of the Fulshear community. He graduated from Second Baptist High School and attended college at the University of Houston. Before starting Lone Star Custom Homes, LLC, Matthew worked in the home building industry for nearly 15 years while he learned from the ground up.
His building career began by starting a family home building company, called Keystone Classic Homes. During that time, he continued his education through the National Association of Home Builders and is now one of fewer than 500 Graduate Master Builders in the country.
Matt, and his wife, Chelsa, believe in the importance of family and are actively involved in raising their three girls. They also both serve in leadership roles within their church. In addition to building homes, Matthew also owns and operates Surface Construction Services LLC, which provides dirt work services, such as foundation pads, culvert installations, pond building, road building, etc. Matthew also strives to promote residential development. His efforts have encouraged the growth of several new developmental sections and hundreds of new homes in the Weston Lakes community.
